European version of the houseboat
Europe Houseboats has developed a special European version of the houseboat . Beside the neccesary CE certification we have made many changes to the boats . Instead of the , in the USA commonly build Z drive system , we made one major change and installed a V drive system with rudder and keel . The handling and directional stability has been improved dramaticly and the boats are now a lot better suited for the more narrow European waterways.

Maintenance
Because of the choice of many sustainable materials the houseboat needs very little maintenance . The hull is made of aluminium read more with polyester/plywood sandwich sidepanels . The windowframes as well as the railings are all anodised aluminium. The top deck is finished in fiberglass . All you need to do, to keep your boat in optimal condition , is to clean it from time to time . Sanding, painting, rust etc belong definitely to the past.
